ROUND 1: DEEP DIVE - A DECADE OF BTR
Glenbrook opened its first BTR scheme, The Keel in Liverpool, in 2015. It was the first institutionally funded BTR scheme in the UK; funded by Moorfield, the 240 homes scheme quickly let up, and remains one of the prime addresses in the city. Since then Glenbrook has designed and delivered several schemes, is on site building 1,800 homes today, and has 2,000 in the planning and Gateway 2 process in locations such as Manchester and Leeds, but also Birmingham and Milton Keynes.
The masterclass draws on the experiences gained from delivery, and uses the changing landscape to ponder what the next ten years hold. In particular the conversation considers both occupier and investor viewpoints - including amenity, design, construction, unit sizes to deal structure, debt and asset management.
ROUND 1: CASE STUDY - TRAFFORD WHARF
Trafford Wharf is a £250m regeneration scheme that reimagines a disused brownfield site into a vibrant, multi-tenure rental community. The presentation will explore the design narrative behind this mixed-use model - combining Build-to-Rent, student living, education and public realm - and show how authentic responses to heritage, landscape and context can deliver long-lasting, sustainable communities.
ROUND 1: WALK & TALK - MAYFIELD PARK
Join the team behind the multi award-winning Mayfield Park (just next door to Mayfield’s Depot) which is kickstarting the creation of a whole new green residential-led district right in the heart Manchester City Centre.
